Haven — Accessibility Statement

Where we are

Haven is a small product made by a small company. We want it to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a screen reader, larger text, or other assistive technology.

We have not had Haven independently audited for accessibility, and we have not run a formal evaluation against a standard. So this page does not claim any level of conformance. It tells you what is actually in the app today, what is missing, and how to reach us.

What the app supports today

  • Screen readers. The main screens, including the player, the paywall, settings, onboarding, and the content cards, have labels, roles, and state information for VoiceOver and TalkBack. We have not tested every flow end to end with a screen reader.
  • Larger text. Text in the app follows your device's text size setting. We have not checked how every screen behaves at the largest sizes, so some layouts may crowd or clip.
  • A dark, quiet interface. Haven is designed to be low glare and visually calm, which suits night-time use. We have not measured colour contrast against a standard, so we cannot tell you it passes one.
  • Audio-first use. Most of Haven is listening. Once a session is playing, you do not need to look at the screen.

What is missing

We would rather list this plainly than leave you to discover it.

  • No transcripts or captions for the audio. Meditations, sleep stories, and soundscapes are spoken and unscripted on screen. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, most of Haven's content is not accessible to you today. We know this is the biggest gap.
  • No reduced-motion setting. The app does not currently respond to the system "reduce motion" preference.
  • Untested at large text sizes. See above.
  • No measured colour contrast. See above.
  • No independent audit. Nothing in the app has been verified by an external assessor.

If something gets in your way

Email support@gethaven.io and tell us what happened. It helps if you say which screen you were on and what assistive technology you were using, but write it however is easiest.

If you need something from Haven in a different form, ask. We cannot promise we can do it, but we would like to know what you need.

Haven is made and operated by Atlan Insights AB, org. no. 559425-1398, Brantingsgatan 51, 115 35 Stockholm, Sweden. The app is currently distributed through an Apple Developer account held by Kami Ventures AB, which is publisher of record only. Accessibility questions go to Atlan, at the address above.

How this page is kept honest

We will update this page when the app changes, and we will only add a conformance claim once something has actually been tested. If you think a statement here is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
