1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Atlan Insights AB ("Haven", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your session, and to provide information to site operators. "Similar technologies" include local storage and comparable browser mechanisms.
3. Does the Haven app use cookies?
No. The Haven mobile app (currently iOS only — Haven is not yet available on Android) does not use cookies. It stores a small amount of data on your device (for example, your sign-in session and preferences) using the device's secure storage, not browser cookies. How we handle that data is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies on our website
Our public website — the pages anyone can visit, such as the landing and legal pages — uses only strictly necessary cookies, required for the site to function and to keep an authenticated session secure. On those public pages we do not use advertising cookies, and we do not set analytics or tracking cookies. The only sign-in on the website is to Haven's internal, staff-only admin area; if you use the Haven app, you sign in inside the app using secure storage on your device, not website cookies.
The strictly necessary cookies are set by Supabase, our authentication and backend provider, when a session is created:

Analytics in the internal admin area. Our staff-only admin area additionally uses product-analytics cookies from PostHog (for example ph_*) so we can understand and maintain our own internal tooling. These cookies are set only in that authenticated admin area — used by our own team and not part of the public Service you access as a user of Haven. PostHog is listed in our Sub-processors.
5. Do we need your consent?
On our public website we set only strictly necessary cookies, which are exempt from the consent requirement under the EU ePrivacy rules and the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (LEK) because they are essential to deliver a service you have requested. We therefore do not show a cookie consent banner on the public site.
The PostHog analytics cookies described above are set only in our internal, staff-only admin area, which is not a public-facing service. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies on the public website (analytics, marketing, personalisation, embedded third-party content), we will implement a consent mechanism and ask for your consent first, and we will update this policy.
6. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to refuse cookies. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the website.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision.
